Thu 9/12: Arby's (Litchfield & Van Buren)

I went through the drive-thru at Arby’s and there were at least 3 vehicles in front of me. Took about 3 minutes til I could order. I asked if they had the Arby-Q (knowing they probably didn’t since they only have those every now and again, but I like them so I figured it was worth asking). The girl said no, they discontinued them awhile ago. But I think certain restaurants still carry them. I went with Plan B, a Chicken Bacon Swiss with no honey mustard. “Do you want to make that a combo or just the sandwich?” Just the sandwich.

It was another 6 minutes til I got up to the window. I gave her the cash and a couple minutes later, she says, “sorry, just a moment.” And then, “I hate to do this, but can you pull forward into that parking space?” Okay. The setting sun was reflecting in my mirrors and blinding me. About 3 minutes passed and a guy brought out my food. “Chicken Bacon Swiss with no honey mustard.” Thanks. Only took 15 minutes…

When I got home, the sandwich was still warm and it tasted fresh (it better, I waited long enough). I added some ketchup to it. The chicken was crispy and juicy. The breading had a good seasoning. It was rather delicious. Unfortunately my stomach started gurgling noisily all night and continued into the morning. Not sure why exactly, but that’s what happened! I’ll still order that sandwich in the future.
