Sun 9/15: Szechuan (89A, Sedona)

I was in Sedona for a hike and then lunch at a dog-friendly patio afterward. There were a few restaurants to choose from, but my dad’s preference was Chinese food, so we went with Szechuan. I stayed outside with the pups while my dad went in to order our sesame chicken. He came back out with iced teas and then we waited a little bit before he went back in to get the food.

The sesame chicken was good. The sauce was sweet and was red-orange in color. The rice was more dry and flaky than fluffy, like I would prefer, and I didn’t eat a lot of it. The meal also came with a spring roll, which was good, fried wontons, and fortune cookies. The fortunes were: “Happiness will bring you good luck” and “If we are to have magical bodies, we must have magical minds.” The patio area was hot and there was almost no shade. But it was a satisfying lunch.
