Freddy’s was chosen as the destination for this month’s “sanity
lunch”. When we arrived, there was no line and I was able to walk right up to
the counter to order. I got the hot dog combo with ketchup, mustard, and relish.
I went to sit down in one of their large booths (3 people can sit comfortably on
each side). The restaurant was not very busy for lunch time. I guess everyone
goes to Chipotle and Wendy’s. The dining area looked pretty clean and I enjoyed
the oldies that were playing.
The hot dog was Vienna beef and served on toasted bread rather than a hot dog bun. The shoestring fries weren't hot, but I've found that to be the case with most shoestring fries, that they lose their heat quickly. My friend shared some of her onion rings with me. They were crisp and good. There were some signs posted advertising their S’mores Concrete (frozen custard) and it looked tasty. I think this is a good place to eat!
